According to the Toronto Star, the legendary Music Hall on Danforth Avenue has been closed due to non-payment of rent - an amount of $44,857.86
The 91-year-old building a heritage site, began as a vaudeville theatre and served for many years as a second-run movie house called The Century before undergoing renovations in 2005 and reopening as a theatre venue.
I fondly remember seeing the Stray Cats in concert at the Music Hall in 1991.
